I’m the child of two Jamaican immigrants, raised in a childhood that was outdoorsy, free, and full of imagination.
As long as I can remember, I’ve been writing. Stories, poems, songs. I’ve always loved words, music, getting lost in books and letting my imagination wander wherever it wanted to go.
I live in Hertfordshire, and when I became a parent myself, something shifted. Taking my children to the library, reading stories aloud, and watching their faces light up made me realise that I wanted my stories out in the world too. So this time, when I wrote stories, I had a purpose. I also had a quote that helped to guide me
“We cannot predict the value our work will provide to the world. That’s fine. It is not our job to judge our own work. It is our job to create it, to pour ourselves into it, and to master our craft as best we can.”
James Clear
I’d love to hear what you think of my books, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’m available for speaking events, as well as school and nursery visits—and I can’t wait to connect with you.
